A software quality trainer posed this difficult question to a class of development managers: "If, after boarding a plane, you found out your development team had designed and implemented the software used on the plane, how manyof you would ask to get off?"

All but one person raised their hands. The one holdout explained that he wasn't worried. He was confident that if his team did the software, the plane would not make it to the runway, let alone take off.
